Tottenham fan runs gauntlet by turning out in full kit to attend Arsenal’s pre-season match against Western Sydney Wanderers
The Gunners ended their tour with a 3-1 victory, but fans afterwards had other things to concentrate on
THIS is the moment one brazen Tottenham fan was mobbed after turning up to an Arsenal pre-season game in his team’s kit.
The footage, which is being shared across social media, shows a man wearing the white of Spurs being surrounded by Gunners fans, who decided to let him know what they think.
The footy fan decided to turn up to Arsenal’s final game on their tour of Australia – a 3-1 victory against Western Sydney Wanderers.
It’s unclear as to whether it’s all a hilarious set-up, or whether he was simply supporting Sydney for the game against Arsene Wenger’s side.
But it provided some extra entertainment for the Arsenal fans outside the ANZ Stadium after the pre-season victory.
Olivier Giroud gave Arsene Wenger a reminder of what he could be missing next season.
The Frenchman has admitted his future is in doubt following Alexandre Lacazette’s arrival in a club record £52.6million deal.
But Giroud, 30, grabbed the opener at ANZ Stadium as he started in the same team as Lacazette.
The pair struggled to linked up together although Lacazette did have a hand in the build up to Giroud’s goal.
He sent through Nacho Monreal and the Spaniard’s cross was slammed into the top corner by the France star.
Monreal also set up the second goal with a long pass that led to Aaron Ramsey lobbing the ball past Vedran Janjetovic.
Mohamed Elneny wrapped up three goals in 11 first-half minutes when his effort deflected in off Brendan Hamill.
West Sydney pulled one back in the second half when Ramsey’s pass back was picked up by Janjetovic.
