Nemanja Matic holds out for a Jose Mourinho reunion with Manchester United and tells Chelsea to sort his future inside next 48 hours
Midfielder is told he can leave the Blues for £40m - but they would prefer to sell him to Juventus rather than Utd or Arsenal
NEMANJA MATIC is determined to hold out for a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
And he has told Chelsea that he wants his future sorted out within the next 48 hours.
The Serbian midfielder has been told he can leave Stamford Bridge for £40million following the arrival of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, 22, for the same price.
Chelsea would prefer to sell him to Juventus ahead of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.
But Matic, sold and then bought back again to the Blues by Mourinho, has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford to work with the Special One.
Juve will offer the 28-year-old a three-year deal worth around £125,000 per week but United would give him a four-year contract and £150,000 a week.
And Matic — left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the Far East along with rebel striker Diego Costa — sees the length of contract as crucial to planning his future.
