Mesut Ozil sees the funny side as fan is tackled to the ground after charging towards him at Arsenal training in Sydney

The Gunners got their tour Down Under off to a flyer with a 2-0 win over Sydney FC and now face West Sydney Wanderers

ARSENAL players were back training at the ANZ Stadium after getting a first pre-season win under their belts.

And hundreds of fans turned up to watch them in action - with one needing to be hauled to the ground after appearing to make a dash for Mesut Ozil.

The Gunners got their tour Down Under off to a flyer with a 2-0 win over Sydney FC.

New £52million striker Alexandre Lacazette took just 15 minutes to open his account with a close-range finish on debut.

That came after Per Mertesacker had grabbed the opener by nodding home an Ozil corner.

And Ozil gave the Gunners a boost my admitting his "preference is to stay".

Next up for Arsene Wenger's team is Western Sydney Wanderers.

Fans got a glimpse of their heroes as the Gunners smiled their way through training on Friday.

Ozil could see their funny side of the fan that ran towards him.

And Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott were more than happy to pose for pictures with fans after the session.

Wenger is still hoping to complete a mega-money move for Thomas Lemar.

And he also wants Kylian Mbappe, with reports suggesting he has tabled a world-record £123m bid.

However, he could be dealt a blow in his pursuit of both, with Monaco keen to shut up shop for the transfer window when the sell Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea for £40m.
