Chelsea and Man United dealt blow as Roma issue hands-off warning over £35m star Kostas Manolas

Premier League giants get the brush-off as Italian club changes its stance over 26-year-old Greek central defender

ROMA defender Kostas Manolas is staying put.

The news will disappoint both Chelsea and Manchester United, who have both shown interest in the Greek player.

Not to mention Juventus, who were also keen amid shock speculation that Leonardo Bonucci could join Milan.

The 26-year-old centre-back has impressed Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian was desperate to beat Jose Mourinho to the signature of Manolas as he looks to strengthen his defence following the departure of John Terry.

But both Premier League giants are set to miss out.

For Roma have issued a warning that neither £35million-rated Manolas or star midfielder Radja Nainggolan is for sale.

Under new sporting directorship of Monchi, it seems Roma have changed their stance.
