Wenger's side have officially kicked off their pre-season, with Sydney FC the first victims of their pre-season campaign.

Per Mertesacker acrobatically volleyed home the opener, before Lacazette double the Gunners tally from close range.

The Frenchman came onto the field as a 68th minute substitute, before bagging his first goal in Arsenal colours within just 15 minutes.

Iwobi charged down the right-hand side, before cleverly pulling the ball back into the path of the Frenchman - who made the finish look easy.

It is safe to say that the Arsenals fan look impressed with their new striker...

Following the introduction of Lacazette, there has been added speculation surrounding the future of Olivier Giroud at the Emirates.

Welbeck came close to scoring the second, but he failed to convert from the penalty spot.
