While, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a known admirer.

report Milan and Inter are now in the running for the Italy international and that Juventus would be ready to listen to offers of around £37million.

However, no one has matched that fee yet.

The prospect of Bonucci leaving the Serie A champions intensified when a video surfaced on Twitter of an Italian TV show panellist claiming to have asked the defender’s agent Alessandro Lucci whether he could actually be leaving Juventus.

The alleged reply was: “We’re working on it.”

Milan were alerted by the news and are understood to have made an offer of cash plus Juve target Mattia Di Sciglio as well as the highly-rated Alessio Romagnoli.

But that is yet to be confirmed.

Romagnoli is among the Milan players considered “unsellable” by boss Vincenzo Montella.

Bonucci started his career at Inter, but made just one Serie A appearance for the Nerazzurri.

Their new Suning Group owners are keen to bring in at least one major name this summer as they look to return to their former glories.
