Dani Alves fires brutal dig at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola during his unveiling for Paris Saint-Germain
Former Barcelona full-back says he has gone to France for a better chance of winning the Champions League
DANI ALVES fired a brutal dig at Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola during his Paris Saint-Germain unveiling.
The former Barcelona star insisted he picked France because it is there he feels he has a better chance of winning a fourth Champions League title.
Guardiola looked set to land the Brazilian full-back, 34, in a fairytale reunion.
But the ex-Juventus player snubbed them for a move to Paris where he was offered wages of £230,000 a week - and it could be argued an easier life.
Alves, who wore his new kit in full during the unveiling and joins on a two-year deal, said: "If Pep Guardiola and Manchester City feel hurt, I am sorry.
"But I have come here to be a champion.
"PSG have been flirting with me for a long time, three years, and now we are married!
"There's a very interesting project in Paris. I have friends here. I'm a man who loves challenges.
"I've had the pleasure of winning the Champions League three times and I want to bring my experience here.
"The president had a great power of persuasion. I like to make history. We can write it together here.
"The work that the club has been doing over the past several years is very encouraging. It's an ambitious team."
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi suggested his side would be dipping into the market for massive deals again soon.
He said: "Dani Alves is the first great champion to arrive this summer. We are working hard and are very confident for the window."
The club have also been linked with a move for City flop Eliaquim Mangala.
