Chelsea offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £65million but boss Antonio Conte still wants Alvaro Morata
Borussia Dortmund chiefs believe star striker could move to China but man himself prefers a move to England
HOTSHOT striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered to Chelsea for £65million.
Borussia Dortmund are prepared to allow the Gabon hitman to leave the Bundesliga, even though he has scored 120 goals in 189 appearances.
Blues boss Antonio Conte has still identified Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata as his No 1 target to succeed Diego Costa, who has been told to stay away from the club’s Cobham training ground ahead of a switch to Atletico Madrid.
But France-born Aubameyang has been made available to clubs around Europe and in the Far East — and Dortmund believe he could be set for a move to China.
AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have also been interested.
Chelsea were ready to offer £62m for Morata, although he now looks set to travel with Real to Los Angeles for their pre-season tour of the United States.
Frustrated Conte knows there is a chance Chelsea could start the Premier League season without bagging big names.
Defender Antonio Rudiger, who cost £34m, and keeper Willy Caballero are the champions’ only signings of the summer so far.
The availability of former Arsenal target Aubameyang, 28, gives Chelsea an intriguing second option and he would prefer a move to England.
Chelsea are also looking at Italian striker Andrea Belotti of Torino, who is 23 years old and has a buy-out clausse of £85million.
Chelsea remain confident of landing Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko despite interest from Manchester United.
Real Madrid are also willing to complete the transfer to Stamford Bridge of right-back Danilo. The Brazil defender would cost the Blues about £31m.
