CHELSEA are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the potential signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports in Spain.
However, they face serious competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who have been long-term admirers of the Gabon international.
Antonio Conte is desperate to bring in a big-name striker with Diego Costa on his way out of Stamford Bridge — likely back to Atletico Madrid — and having seen No.1 target Romelu Lukaku join Manchester United.
report that Chelsea are in talks with Aubameyang, who was the Bundesliga’s leading marksman last season.
Conte is also a big fan of Alvaro Morata, and the Blues were ready to make a £70m bid.
However, having failed to secure a move to Old Trafford, the Spain international could now be set to stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place next season.
The Chelsea boss still fancies the former Juventus striker, but he is looking at alternatives.
