Manchester City flop Wilfried Bony wanted by French giants Marseille this summer
Ligue 1 side join rivals Lille enter the race for Ivorian striker as interest mounts from China
MARSEILLE have now entered the race for Manchester City flop Wilfried Bony.
The Ivorian looks destined to finally end his lacklustre spell at the Etihad and depart this summer.
As reported at the weekend, the big frontman is wanted by a number of Chinese Super League sides and French club Lille.
Now their Ligue 1 rivals have entered the race for the burly striker.
Attentions switched to AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca as it emerged Everton were close to finalising a move for the Gunners man.
However, are now claiming that they also hold an interest in the City man.
The Premier League side believe that they could recoup at least half of the £28million they forked out to Swansea in January 2015 by selling to Asia.

But Bony’s preferred option is to stay in the Premier League – although at present there are no potential suitors.
The chances of remaining in England look slim for the hitman.
He is viewed by several clubs as a back-up option in case they miss out on their top targets.
Bony shot to prominence after an electric spell in front of goal for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
That led Swansea to splash out a club record £12m to bring him to these shores in 2013.
He bagged 26 times in 54 matches for the Swans and became one of the most feared frontmen in the top-flight.
