Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo wanted on season-long loan by Newcastle and Middlesbrough
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is happy for the winger to join either North East club on loan - as long as he is given time to shine
NEWCASTLE and Middlesbrough will battle it out over a loan deal for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo this summer.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has no issue in letting the England Under-20 World Cup winner temporarily leave due to the fierce competition at Anfield, according to .
Toon manager Rafa Benitez reportedly wants to make Ojo, 20, his third summer signing following deals for Chelsea's Christian Atsu and Florian Lejeune from Eibar.
But Boro want to challenge their North East rivals for his signature.
Riverside boss Garry Monk reckons Ojo could help the club secure promotion at the first time of asking following last season's relegation to the Championship.
Monk's trump card is that he can offer the midfielder more regular first-team football.
Ojo played just twice last season - both in the FA Cup against Plymouth - and is concerned he could be sidelined for much of the upcoming campaign unless he leaves Anfield.
Klopp would happily loan Ojo to either club on the condition he is given time to shine on the pitch.
