Lukaku has now completed his medical and is on the verge of being announced as Man Utd's latest arrival.

But according to the , Conte is 'livid' that they lost out on re-signing the forward to Chelsea's former boss Jose Mourinho.

It has angered Conte to the extent that he is considering his future at Stamford Bridge with their only signing so far this window being Willy Caballero on a free transfer.

The Italian boss is still yet to commit his future to Chelsea after he snubbed a new deal earlier this summer.

The Blues will be desperate to tie down their title-winning boss, with plenty of Italian clubs interested in bringing him back to Serie A.

It is now up to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich to pursuade Conte to stay with the champions.

In an attempt to please their boss, Chelsea are set to complete the transfer of Antonio Rudiger with the defender set for his medical TODAY.

Rudiger would fit seamlessly into Conte's 3-4-3 as he is capable of playing either centre back or at right back.

It also believed the Blues will turn their attention to £90million man Andrea Belotti after missing out on Lukaku.
