is now reporting that City are trying to offload him to the Far East.

They believe that they could recoup at least half of the £28million they forked out to Swansea in January 2015 by selling to Asia.

Bony’s preferred option is to stay in the Premier League.

Although a switch over the Channel to the Ligue 1 outfit is also favoured more than China.

Lille are keen to back new boss Marcelo Bielsa and believe that the burly frontman would fit into his system perfectly.

The chances of remaining in England are also looking slim for the hitman.

That led Swansea to splash out a club record £12m to bring him to these shores in 2013.

He bagged 26 times in 54 matches for the Swans and became one of the most feared frontmen in the top-flight.

Those performances caught the attention of City and he was soon on the move again.

But he has endured a miserable time at the Etihad and only found the net six times in 36 games.

He tried to revive his career at Stoke last season as he joined the Potters on loan but only scored twice for Mark Hughes’ side.
