HARRY Redknapp is looking to improve his Birmingham squad with a season-long loan move for Southampton stiker Sam Gallagher.
The Blues boss is looking to strengthen his Championship side having signed just two players so far this summer.
Redknapp is particularly looking to improve his striking options, having agreed to a one year contact at St Andrew's, and reportedly has his sights set on Gallagher who has represented England at youth level.
The 21-year-old Southampton striker came through the ranks at Plymouth Argyles's academy and joined the Saints in 2012, but has spent the last two seasons out on loan.
Gallagher managed to score 12 goals for Blackburn last season, but didn't have much luck at MK Dons in the 2015/16 season where he failed to score in his 15 appearances and was subsequently recalled to Southampton.
He's just signed a new four year deal, after returning from a season long stint at Blackburn Rovers, and has just started pre-season training at St Mary's but will new Southampton manager, Mauricio Pellegrino, have space for him in his squad?
Having won only 13 games last season, the Blues finished bottom half of the Championship so they will be looking to improve their goal scoring records with reputable forwards.

Over the summer keeper David Stockdale and centre-half Marc Roberts have joined The Blues, with Redknapp adding that there are still 'another five or six parts of the jigsaw to fill yet',
