Manchester City tell West Ham and Newcastle that Joe Hart is not available for loan deal

Citizens only willing to allow England international goalkeeper to leave in an £18million permanent move

MANCHESTER CITY have told Newcastle and West Ham they are not willing to let Joe Hart go out on loan.

The England number one is due to report back for pre-season training at the Etihad on Monday.

And he does so knowing he is surplus to requirements for Pep Guardiola.

City are looking for a permanent deal for their long-serving keeper, 30, rather than another temporary arrangement.

They are believed to want around £18 million for Hart - who earns around £120,000 a week.

Enquiries have come in from both Premier League rivals so far this summer - but only for a loan switch.

And City believe both the Toon and Hammers have the resources to come up with the necessary funds to buy him outright.

Hart was allowed to go on loan to Torino last season - but that was mainly due to the lack of options available in late August.

A club would need to offer a significant loan fee if City are to change their stance.

In any case, the former Shrewsbury man said at the end of last season he would rather not have another temporary switch.

He is one of several players who City are looking to get off the books permanently this summer.

But Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony, Eliaquim Mangala and Nolito - who cost the club around £100 million in total - have yet to line up new clubs.
