HUDDERSFIELD have set a new club transfer record with the £11million capture of Derby star Tom Ince.

The winger has signed a three-year deal with the Terriers and joins for an initial £8.5m fee.

However, that could rise by another £2.5m through add-ons, making him Huddersfield's most expensive player following the recent £10m capture of Manchester City midfielder Aaron Mooy.

Ince scored 27 goals in 97 appearances for Derby following a £4.75m move from Hull in 2015.

He was one of the Rams' most influential players and will now be tasked with helping Huddersfield beat the drop in their maiden Premier League campaign.

David Wagner is sure to be delighted with the signing after penning a new contract extension late last week.

The German has worked wonders since arriving at the club and will now look to complete a deal for ex-Reading star Danny Williams.

The USA international is out of contract with the Royals and will arrive at Huddersfield on a free transfer.

The Terriers are looking to do more than make up the numbers next season and splashed a then-record £10m on Aaron Mooy last month.
