West Ham cool interest in £20m-rated Joe Hart as Manchester City want him to leave permanently this summer
The England star is looking for a new club after being told by Pep Guardiola he is not in his plans
WEST HAM have cooled their interest in £20m-rated Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
The England star is looking for a new club after being told by Pep Guardiola he is not in his plans for the coming season.
The Hammers were interested in taking the ex-Torino ace one a season-long loan deal this summer.
But City want to get Hart off their books and are only looking at a permanent switch, with Newcastle eyeing a move.
West Ham are also focusing on getting a striker in as their main priority at the beginning of the window.
A London Stadium source said: "We were looking at Hart as one of the guys to bring in this summer.
"But our priorities have changed somewhat and it is not a pressing concern. We want to get a forward in first and foremost.
"A loan option was the first option, but nothing is going to happen now. It doesn't mean we won't go back in at a later date."
Newcastle made an enquiry for the 30-year-old last week, and Manchester United have even looked at thrashing out a possible deal.
Hart joined City from Shrewsbury in 2003 before heading on loan to Torino last season where he had an inconsistent spell.
