ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is officially free to join a new club.
While news broke a couple of weeks ago that he was set to leave Manchester United, it only became official at the weekend.
At midnight on Saturday the maverick Swede's contract expired, meaning he can choose where he makes his next move.
But he won't be confident of passing a medical just yet.
The 35-year-old is still recovering from surgery after he suffered a knee injury in United's Europa League clash against Anderlecht.
The Premier League club also confirmed Josh Harrop, Kayne Diedrick-Roberts and Faustin Makela are leaving the club.
Victor Lindelof is the only signing so far this summer, joining from Benfica for £31million.
A statement on read: "Injured striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out of contract after his deal expired, while Josh Harrop has secured a permanent move to Preston North End in the Championship.

"Academy youngsters Kayne Diedrick-Roberts and Faustin Makela are free to join new clubs."
Hours before he officially became a free agent, Ibrahimovic shared a moving post with his Instagram followers, writing "I came. I said. I conquered", with a photo of him with his arms in the air celebrating scoring a goal.
The Swede banged 28 goals last season, and has been allowed to continue using Manchester United's Carrington training complex as he continues his rehabilitation.
