Arsenal to ‘sign Leicester star Riyad Mahrez next week with deal close to being finalised’
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger due to step up his move for the Algerian winger over the coming days
ARSENAL are ready to snap-up Riyad Mahrez this week, according to reports in Italy.
The Algerian is ready to leave Leicester in search of regular Champions League football.
Arsene Wenger is known to be a big admirer of the winger and is plotting a swoop for the 26-year-old this summer.
However, Italian website claims that the move could be done as early as this week.
They say that Wenger has given the “OK” for the club to push ahead with the signing and that the transfer will “soon” be announced.
Arsenal are likely to splash out around £35million for the attacker.
The claimed on Tuesday that the North London giants are ready to offer Mahrez a four-year contract.
Barcelona were also interested in signing the Foxes star.

But apparently the playmaker has grown “tired” of waiting for the La Liga side to make their move.
Mahrez was believed to have his heart set on a switch to the Catalans – but is not prepared to wait around any longer for them.
Barca are believed to have a number of players who are “higher priority” than the attacker.
Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to depart the Emirates this summer after rejecting a new contract.
The 23-year-old only has a year left on his deal with Arsenal and is ready to leave in search of regular first-team football.
Liverpool are interested in the England international and are likely to try and snap-up the former Southampton man this month.
