SunSport reported yesterday (Friday) how the Gunners fear Sanchez is ready to leave for nothing next year if they do not agree to sell him this summer.

The club are planning for life without the Chile ace as they close in on a club-record deal to sign Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal remain in the dark over his intentions and have not received a single bid for their 30-goal top scorer.

Sanchez, 28, is now in the final 12 months of his £140,000-a-week Emirates contract. He has been offered DOUBLE that to extend his stay.

Sanchez said: “My future is clear in my mind.

“I know what it is — but I cannot tell you at the moment.”

Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, who bossed Sanchez at Barcelona, is now lining up a £50million bid and can meet his £300,000-a-week wage demands.

But Gunners manager Arsene Wenger said he will not sell to a Premier League rival.

Now Arsenal face the dilemma of overruling their manager, or forcing their star player to stay against his will — and losing him as a free agent next summer.

Sanchez is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup and will lead Chile in tomorrow’s final against Germany in Saint Petersburg.
