JOSE MOURINHO was surrounded by fans as he attended his father’s funeral in his home town of Setubal in Portugal.
Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix died on Sunday aged 79 after a lengthy illness, leaving the Manchester United boss heartbroken.
The former Chelsea chief posted a poignant black-and-white photo of the pair from the Old Trafford manager’s childhood and rushed home to be with his family.
The Portuguese buried his dad on Tuesday in a coffin that arrived at the church draped in a Setubal club flag.
Mourinho Felix played in goal for Vitoria Setubal and then Belenenses, making 274 appearances in the Portuguese league between 1955 and 1974.
The keeper earned one international cap for Portugal as a late substitute against the Republic of Ireland in 1972.
Mourinho Felix then became a coach with a number of clubs including Uniao Leiria, Amora, Rio Ave, Belenenses and Vitoria.

Mourinho - who regularly visited his father during his final months - shared a touching black and white photo of himself as a child alongside his dad on Monday.
The country's football federation sent "the most heartfelt condolences to Mourinho and the rest of the bereaved family."
United also extended their condolences on their official website.
