CRISTIANO RONALDO scored a penalty as Euro 2016 winners Portugal romped to the top of group A at the Confederations Cup in Russia.

New Manchester City man Bernardo Silva doubled the lead and Andre Silva netted the third in an easy win in St Petersburg.

Portugal will now be joined in the semi-final by Mexico - while hosts Russia got dumped out of the tournament on home soil.
