Manchester United get Renato Sanches transfer boost with Bayern Munich slashing his price-tag from £30.5m to £23m
Portuguese midfielder could be set to leave Allianz Arena after recent struggles and may be heading to Old Trafford
MANCHESTER UNITED have been given a handy transfer boost after Bayern Munich reportedly lowered their asking price for Renato Sanches.
The midfield ace snubbed the Red Devils for an Allianz Arena switch last summer but is yet to make a real impression in Germany.
There are murmurings in Bavaria that Carlo Ancelotti is not convinced Sanches can make the grade, which is why he made a club-record move for Lyon star Corentin Tolisso.
Indeed, it has even been suggested that the teenager is now up for sale – and Manchester United are ready to strike for a second time.
German newspaper Kicker claims Jose Mourinho is extremely interested to play Sanches alongside Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera in a dynamic midfield three.
And the Red Devils, who aren’t shy of a bob or two, can now reportedly land Sanches for a bargain £23million - £7.5m less than Bayern were demanding at the start of the month.
Whether he wants to up sticks after just a season remains to be seen, but the opportunity to play at Old Trafford may be too good to turn down.
