Juventus confirm Dani Alves has terminated his contract just one year after signing from Barcelona — freeing him to join Manchester City
Brazilian moved to Turin after eight-trophy laden seasons at the Nou Camp but has spent just the 12 months in Italy
JUVENTUS have confirmed Dani Alves' contract has been terminated.
The free agent is now expected to join Manchester City.
Alves moved to the Italian giants last summer after eight trophy-laden seasons at the Nou Camp.
But, despite showing glimpses of his class towards the end of his 12 months in Italy, the 34-year-old struggled to settle.
It is understood he even tried to engineer a return to Barcelona in January.
Pep Guardiola allowed Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna to leave the club this summer and is in the market for an experienced right-back.
Alves is one of the most successful footballers in history and was one of the current City boss' first-ever signings in the game.
Guardiola brought him to Barcelona in 2008.
