Bayern Munich angrily deny Robert Lewandowski will leave for Chelsea or Manchester United and warn clubs will be ‘punished’ if he’s tapped up
Lewandowski is said to have been unhappy in Bavaria with Chelsea and Manchester United interested in snapping up the Polish striker
BAYERN MUNICH have angrily denied striker Robert Lewandowski will leave to join Chelsea or Manchester United.
The Bundesliga giants are unhappy with reports linking their top scorer with a summer switch to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester United said to be keen on signing him.
The German champions warned that any club attempting to talk to the striker without their permission will run the risk of "punishment from Fifa".
In a statement the club said: "Robert Lewandowski has a contract with FC Bayern, which he recently extended to 2021.
"Bayern are not thinking about any move for Lewandowski.
"There are no talks with other clubs, and there will not be. If other clubs negotiate with a player who has still a long-term contract, they risk punishment from Fifa.
"The player's agent also assured us that he did not hold talks with any other club."

There had been reports the Polish striker had been unhappy with his lot after seven years in Germany
Lewandowski’s German agent Maik Barthel said: “Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title.
“He was disappointed as I have never seen him before.
“He really hoped that the team would support him proactively.”
It is the second statement in a matter of days from Bayern who went public in denying that they were in the race to sign Real Madrid's Cristiano Roanldo.
