ARSENAL are set to offer Aaron Ramsey a new deal to avoid a repeat of the Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil situation.
The Welshman can expect improved terms on the £100,000-a-week he currently earns and be bumped up to £140,000 every seven days.
Sanchez and Ozil, as well as Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs are all set to leave for nothing next summer with their contracts set to expire.
And the club have been widely criticised for both dragging their feet and penny-pinching when it comes to paying some of the Premier League's top talent.
And according to the , Arsene Wenger has rubber stamped a new offer that would take Ramsey into a higher wage bracket, which the 26-year-old is yet to sign.
The former Cardiff City middle man had an up-and-down season after starring for Wales at Euro 2016 and making it into the team of the tournament.
He was widely criticised for under-par performances, particularly during the Gunners' slump in the second half of the season.
But he thrived after Wenger changed the formation to three at the back and scored the winner in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea.
Ramsey hailed Wenger's switch after Wales' 1-1 draw against Serbia last week, a game in which he scored a stunning 'Panenka' penalty.
He said: "I think that system suited us in the end, it showed with the way we finished the season and winning the Cup in that formation.
