Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fuels transfer rumours after growing frustrated by lack of contract talks so far this summer
ARSENAL star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has fuelled transfer rumours after growing frustrated by a lack of contract talks so far this summer.
The England ace, 23, has been keen to resolve his future and tie himself into a new long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Arsene Wenger and Co are yet to offer Oxlade-Chamberlain a new deal, with a host of Premier League clubs monitoring the situation.
The Gunners midfielder has just 12 months left on his current deal, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City considering a summer swoop.
Ox enjoyed a strong finish to the 2016-17 campaign, as Arsenal got their hands on the FA Cup, beating Premier League champions Chelsea in the final.
The former Southampton midfielder had been told his future would be sorted out quickly this summer.
But well into June and Oxlade-Chamberlain is still waiting for news on his contract.
With just a year to go, clubs could be able to get their hands on the Arsenal man on a cut-price deal.
A host of Arsenal players are heading into the final season of their current deals, including star duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
That would mean European clubs would be able to kick-off pre-contract negotiations in January.
Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs are just two other Emirates stars to go into the final year of their contract.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal in 2011 and has gone out to turn out 194 times for the club, including 129 appearances in the Premier League.
He made 48 appearances for club and country last season, scoring seven times.
