LYON president Jean-Michel Aulas and general manager Gerard Houllier flew to London to discuss Alexandre Lacazette's potential move to Arsenal.
It is also believed Lyon's representatives also enquired about a potential move for frustrated forward Olivier Giroud - who is seeking more game-time next season.
Journalist, Matt Spiro, claims the French club's chiefs arrived in England's capital as it looks likely Lacazette will leave this summer.
It is believed the 26-year-old is set to cost the Gunners in the region of £60million.
Last season, the prolific striker netted 36 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions - making him one of the most in-demand players in Europe.
But Arsenal will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, after Lyon's president has said he has no problem with selling their talisman to PSG.

It has also been reported Giroud was a talking point in the meeting, as they may be keen on a move for the 30-year-old.
The Arsenal forward has already voiced his frustration at the lack of game time he got last season under Arsene Wenger and is open to a move.
It is believed the Gunners will not stand in his way if a club come calling.
