Ederson completes Manchester City transfer from Benfica in record-breaking £35million deal
City announce Ederson deal as Pep Guardiola attempts to finally solves his goalkeeping woes at the Etihad
MANCHESTER CITY have completed the £35million signing of Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.
The club have smashed the British transfer record paid for a keeper as Pep Guardiola looks to finally solve the problem position that blighted his first year in England.
But they insist it is not a world record deal for a number one because Gianluigi Buffon's £32.5million move to Juventus in 2001 cost more in Euros.

Ederson has signed a five-year deal at the Etihad worth £5million-a-year basic, and will come in as the undoubted first-choice for Guardiola.
The Brazilian was targeted after the City boss finally decided his decision to bring in Claudio Bravo in favour of Joe Hart last season was a mistake.
Bravo was signed because he was better with his feet than England stopper Hart, but made a string of errors and was eventually dropped in favour of back-up keeper Willy Caballero.
Cabellero left the club at the end of the season on a free transfer, and is now being lined up for a move to Premier League champions Chelsea as understudy to Thibaut Courtois.
And Hart is set to be sold this summer after spending last season on loan at Italian club Torino.
