Arsenal transfer news: Gunners in driving seat for Kylian Mbappe with Real Madrid only prepared to pay £75m for Monaco star
Arsene Wenger in the clear to make £120m move for French hotshot, according to reports
ARSENAL are in the clear to sign Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe over Real Madrid’s reluctance to pay a world-record fee for the star.
According to reports in Spain, the La Liga and Champions League winners are only willing to splash out £75million for the teen forward.
And that has reportedly paved the way for the Gunners to launch a mega-money £120m move for the 18-year-old, claim Spanish news outlet .
Arsene Wenger reportedly had an £87m bid for Mbappe rejected last week.
But the Emirates manager and chief executive Ivan Gazidis were spotted in Nice, located just 13 miles from Monaco, on Monday.
They were believed to have been in the south of France to try and thrash out a deal with the Ligue 1 champions.

The teenager is believed to be a huge fan of Madrid boss and fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane.
However, the Bernabeu side already boast a number of big name attacking talents, which has led them to put a ceiling on what they are prepared to pay.
Mbappe has also spoken publicly about how his future will decided on “playing time” rather than money.
Wenger hopes his record of developing youngsters at Arsenal will help him to convince the hotshot to make the move to north London.
And he has also allegedly promised him the club’s No9 shirt as part of the deal.
Mbappe is currently with the French squad in Paris as they prepare to jet out to Stockholm for the World Cup qualifier with Sweden on Friday.
He will then head back to his homeland with his team-mates to take on England at the Stade de France on Tuesday.
Mbappe will be hoping to add to his two international caps and grab his first goal for Les Bleus over the coming days.
