Fabio Coentrao has won ten trophies at Real Madrid, in less than 7,500 minutes, one every 8.3 games

Jose Mourinho signed Portuguese left-back for £26million from Benfica and he has numerous medals despite low game total

FABIO COENTRAO has amassed ten trophies since joining Real Madrid in 2011.

Yet amazingly, he has played less than 7,500 minutes a white shirt - which works out in total to 83.3 games

It means the Portuguese full-back has lifted silverware every EIGHT full games.

Coentrao was signed by Jose Mourinho for £26million from Benfica and he won La Liga in his first season, making 20 appearances —33 in all competitions.

But he actually played 2,449 minutes as Real Madrid were knocked out at the Champions League semi-final stage for the third consecutive season.

Mourinho’s departure — plus injuries and the incredible rise of Marcelo — saw Coentrao’s output drop dramatically.

In Carlo Ancelotti’s first season, he played just 1,503 minutes as Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey and the Champions League — starting both finals.

And, in 2014-15, he started the Uefa Super Cup success over Sevilla and played the second half of the Fifa Club World Cup victory against San Lorenzo.

However, he would play just 1,000 minutes before being loaned out to Monaco for a season when Rafa Benitez replaced Ancelotti.

Coentrao returned under Zinedine Zidane and made six appearances in the previous campaign across all competitions — winning La Liga, the Fifa Club World Cup and the Champions League.

He is expected to join Sporting Lisbon this summer, where he is likely to enjoy somewhat less success.
