Pepe will join Paris Saint-Germain for free on a two-year deal after being let go by Champions League winners Real Madrid

PEPE has agreed a deal to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free in a two-year deal that will take him past his 36th birthday.

The Portuguese defender has been out of favour at Real Madrid this season, featuring 18 times.

But he was not even named on the bench for Zindine Zidane's side in Cardiff as they went on to thump Juventus 4-1.

And with Portugal heading into the World Cup next summer as European champions, the 34-year-old is keen to have one last crack at one of European football's top clubs - and no doubt a big payday.

The former Porto ace last played for Real on April 8, when he was carried off following a collision with team-mate Toni Kroos and that looks to be the last act of his decade-long association with the club, but he also celebrated Los Blancos' only goal in the 1-1 draw.

He also starred for Portugal as they marched to victory at Euro 2016, keeping hosts France at bay in the final.

Pepe also had an offer for Hebei China Fortune to play in the Chinese Super League - no doubt for a huge pay packet.
