Monaco want Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi as makeweight in deal to take Tiemoue Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge this summer

MICHY BATSHUAYI could hold the key to Chelsea landing Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The French champions are pushing for the striker as part of a deal that takes Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Manchester United are also monitoring the situation, but the French international has made up his mind to play for the Premier League champions next season.

The striker did rally in May, scoring four in the final three league games, including the goal to seal the title against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

If Monaco fail to land Batshuayi, they could turn their attention to Charly Musonda.

The Chelsea kid is currently on loan at Real Betis and would be an easier option as a makeweight in any potential deal, as he appears to have little prospect of forcing his way into Antonio Conte's plans.
