TIEMOUE BAKAYOKO is in talks over a £42million move to Chelsea - which could see Manchester United land Nemanja Matic.
As SunSport told, Jose Mourinho is keen on a reunion with Matic at Old Trafford.
But Antonio Conte is unlikely to let Matic go until he has bagged a replacement.
The Blues boss has told Stamford Bridge chiefs that he needs a raft of new signings if he is to mount another Prem title assault next season.
And, according to , talks have begun over a mega-money deal for France international Bakayoko.
Conte's wants to add more energy to his side, despite N'Golo Kante's stellar displays.
And Bakayoko is the man he has earmarked to do it.
The former Rennes youngster, 22, helped Monaco win Ligue 1 last season.
And he impressed further in the French club's run to the Champions League quarter-finals, knocking out Manchester City with a second-leg header in their last-16 clash.
Should Blues land Bakayoko then that would open the door for United to move for Matic.
The report claims that Matic is keen to work under Mourinho again.
It goes on to say that terms have already been discussed.
Mourinho also wants Fabinho, another Monaco midfielder.
But after Manchester City bagged Bernardo Silva, it remains to be seen how many of their stars they cash in on this summer.
