Players are finally afforded the chance to hang up their boots - temporarily - and enjoy some time in the sun this summer.

But he has still used the opportunity to unwind, sharing a photo of him in a swimming pool about to take the plunge.

Kevin De Bruyne, who has had a quiet season by his high standards, shared a tender moment with his son Mason Milian on social media, captioning it "Dream Team".

He also shared a photo with his family on the beach.

Over in Spain, the season isn't even over for Sergio Ramos, but he was allowed some downtime on the back of a boat proudly showing off the Spanish flag.

On Saturday, the defender will have to switch off holiday mode as he take to the field for the Champions League final against Juventus.

John Terry has the chance to possibly extend his holiday if he so wishes - he has not yet made up his mind as to his next move after ending his career at Chelsea.

His wife Toni shared a photo to her Instagram page about to jet off with John and children for their summer break to Portugal.

But it appeared she was doing all the work, captioning it "Being a stewardess today serving Mr T".

John was then pictured relaxing by their villa pool, dangling his legs in the water, with a bottle of water next to him.
