Nolito wants to leave Manchester City for either Atletico Madrid or Celta Vigo in the summer ‘whichever way possible’
NOLITO has declared he wants to leave Manchester City this summer “whichever way possible.”
The Spaniard has been frustrated with the lack of game-time under Pep Guardiola.
And he has sensationally told the Spanish media he is ready to quit City and get more games under his belt elsewhere.
The 30-year-old made 30 appearances for City last term and after a smattering of goals towards the start of the season, his starting spots gradually diminished.
He told : “I’d like to leave Manchester City… on loan, a transfer, whichever way possible.
“I’m calm about my future, and though I’m on vacation, my intention is to go back to Spain.
“I know Atletico and Celta are interested.
“Up until December I was playing and was happy, but after those four months I’ve hardly played.
“I don’t know what happened, you’ll have to ask him [Guardiola].
“It has been a year to forget, an experience that hasn’t turned out as I’d planned, but hopefully this summer, we’ll find a solution.”
Nolito even played in the farewell game at the Vicente Calderon as Atletico got set to leave their famous stadium to move up the road to the Wanda Metropolitano.
He was snapped with Ronaldinho and Gaizka Mendieta in the changing rooms as many footballing legends turned out to say farewell.
Surprisingly the legends of football side actually beat Atleti’s team 5-4 in the match.
He joined City from Celta Vigo last summer for £14million.
