Scottish footie ace slated after taking travel plug adapter on trip to CARDIFF

Hibs striker Jason Cummings striker appeared to admit he had taken the adapters and told a fan on Twitter 'Better safe than sorry bro'

A FOOTBALL star has been ridiculed after taking travel adaptors with him - when he went on a trip to Cardiff.

Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, 21, has enjoyed a prolific season for the Hibees, scoring 19 goals to help the Edinburgh club to the Scottish Championship title.

However, off the park it appears he’s not been quite as sharp, after it was revealed he’d taken a travel adaptor with him for a trip to the Welsh capital.

Cummings was in Wales watching his close pal Lee McGregor, 20, win the British amateur boxing title last weekend.

Travel adaptors are, of course, essential for holidays in popular destinations such as Spain or Italy, where the plugs use two pins.

It will not surprise many people to learn that Wales uses exactly the same plugs as every other part of the UK.

The funny error was brought to light by Twitter user David Wilkes who wrote: “Just heard @Jasoncummings35 took travel adaptors to Cardiff, true or false ?”

The Hibs star appeared to admit he had taken the adaptors and replied: “Better safe than sorry bro.”

Twitter users were quick to mock the Scotland under 21 striker.
