Wolves want Aitor Karanka as new boss with former Boro manager lined up to replace Paul Lambert
Lambert is set to be sacked by the club’s Chinese owners Fosun
AITOR KARANKA is being sounded out to replace Paul Lambert as Wolves boss.
Lambert is set to be sacked by the club’s Chinese owners Fosun.
And ex-Middlesbrough manager Karanka is believed to be among the managers already spoken to.
Fosun plan to officially announce Lambert’s dismissal as soon as they have a new boss in place.
Lambert has voiced concerns about working with super agent Jorge Mendes who has close ties with Fosun and arranged a string of deals for them last summer.
Wolves are looking to appoint a fourth boss in 10 months since Fosun took over at Molineux.

Karanka was sacked in mid-March with Wolves struggling to beat the drop
Karanka is a boss of the kind of calibre that Wolves are looking for as they look to end a six-year absence from the Premier League.
Spaniard Karanka guided Boro to promotion last season for the first time in eight years.
But squad unrest and criticism of his style of play led to him being axed in the middle of March, with Steve Agnew failing to keep Boro up.
Karanka is believed to be one of a number of potential bosses sounded by Fosun out both at home and overseas.
