PEP GUARDIOLA has joined the race for Italian keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The AC Milan whizkid, 18, has just one year left on his current deal and has told pals he is heading to the Premier League.
Manchester United had been leading the chase for the teenager but Guardiola is looking at a move to bring him to City.
Donnarumma is set to snub contract offers to keep him at the San Siro and City are willing to offer £70,000-a-week wages to bring him to the Etihad.
Guardiola has Claudio Bravo as his No1 but the Chile keeper has endured a difficult start to his career in the Premier League.
Donnarumma would compete with the ex-Barcelona man for a first-team spot, with Willy Caballero released and Joe Hart expected to depart permanently.
