ARSENAL sunk rivals Manchester United at the Emirates thanks to goals from Granit Xhaka and Danny Welbeck.

The 2-0 victory came after Mourinho made eight changes, which saw Axel Tuanzebe make his Premier League debut.

Axel Tuanzebe impresses on Premier League debut

The 19-year-old was thrown into the fire by at the Emirates with a place in the Champions League at stake against Arsenal.

Tuanzebe showed confidence as he was not afraid to burst forward as he also answered the defensive questions asked of him during the match.

The teenager dealt with Alexis Sanchez well as he also had the support of Juan Mata, who worked hard ahead of him.

Coming of age for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The England international has come on leaps and bounds as this season has progressed, as he has starred at right wing-back for Arsenal.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain notched his seventh assist of the season - which is the same amount he has provided in his last five seasons combined.

He assisted Granit Xhaka's deflected goal before crossing for Danny Welbeck to nod the ball past David De Gea to make it 2-0.

Questions have been raised in the past regarding his future but he has stepped up in the latter stages of this season.

His rise to becoming a key player for Arsenal has seen Hector Bellerin having to settle for a place on the bench.

Arsene Wenger finally gets one over arch-rival Jose Mourinho

Arsene Wenger has finally recorded his first league win over Jose Mourinho after 13 attempts against the Special One.

The pair have had a strained relationship in the past, with Mourinho branding the Arsenal boss as a "specialist in failure".

Before and after kick off the pair shook hands but it did not take them long until they clashed on the touchline as the Gunners cracked United's defence.

Red Devils' resilient defence crumbles

Manchester United were unfortunate when Xhaka's long range effort deflected off Ander Herrera and looped over David De Gea.

Then just two minutes and nine seconds later, they found themselves two goals down when Welbeck's thumping header punished his former side.

Welbeck has now scored three times in his last four matches against the Red Devils.

Mourinho set his side up extremely defensively and they were forced to change their mentality when they trailed by two goals.

But they were unable to get back into the tie, seeing an end to their 25-match unbeaten run.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan wasted in defensive system

Mourinho's defensive tactics saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggle to make an impact in the match.

It was clear the Red Devils were playing for a draw as the Armenia international and Mata were both playing deep - making it almost a back six for United at times.

But when they went two goals down, Mourinho brought on Jesse Lingard on the hour mark to replace Mkhitaryan.
