Chelsea chasing Roma pair Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger in £70million double summer swoop
Conte set to move again for Belgian midfielder who nearly joined the Blues last summer and Roma team-mate Antonio Rudiger is high on Chelsea shopping list
CHELSEA are weighing up a £70million double raid on Roma with moves for Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger, SunSport understands.
Blues boss Antonio Conte, close to wrapping up the Premier League title, is already in the process of making squad additions, for next season's Champions League.
Conte will be given significant funds to by owner Roman Abramovich, and the Roma pair are high on his shopping list.
Belgian midfielder Nainggolan was close to moving to Stamford Bridge last summer after failing to match Roma's £32m asking price.
The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News:"Yes, I spoke to him (Conte), they were really interested and wanted me over there.
"A lot of my team-mates play in England, it's the best league in the world, when the window opens, we will talks about it again."
SunSport has been told Nainggolan is reluctant to sign a new deal in the Italian captial, after becoming frustrated Roma, yet again have been unable to mount a title challenge.
Conte will go back in for Nainggolan, who has spent all his career in Italy,and is keen to move to England with the prospect of Champions League football next season.
The Italian will also turned his attention to central defender Antonio Rudiger to bolster his defence next term.
Conte wanted to recruit another centre back, with Rudiger high on his list after losing out on Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly last summer.
Chelsea will add another centre back to the ranks, with club captain John Terry set to depart in the summer.
The German international, was also linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, before a serious injury ruled him out of Euro 2016.
A £70m bid lodged for the pair would seriously test Roma's resolve, with boss Luicano Spalletti desperate to close the gap with Juventus next season.
