Instead Turkish star Turan's agent Ahmet Bulut met with Milan officials this week to talk up a deal that could be worth around £18million.
Barca hope to get more for the 30-year-old.

Bulut has stated publically public that Arda wants to fulfill his contract at the Nou Camp but the reality is that the Catalan club are ready to listen to offers.
That's what they said in January when there was the chance he could to go to China.
Barca hope to get at least £25m for Turan, who cost £26m from Atletico Madrid in 2015 but was unable to make his debut until January 2016 after their transfer ban was lifted.
Since then he has been restricted to 33 starts plus 22 games as a substitute. He has scored 15 goals.
Turan himself has three years left to run on his deal with Barca, but has failed to break into their starting line-up due to inconsistent performances.
He has failed to live up to his reputation since signing for Barcelona, but there is no doubting his obvious talent.
