Riyad Mahrez says Craig Shakespeare is the man to ‘take Leicester forward’ as he speaks at star-studded awards bash
Algerian star was in Battersea, London, for the BT Sport Industry Awards
RIYAD MAHREZ has said that Craig Shakespeare is the man to take Leicester City forward as he attended a star-studded bash in London.
The Algerian winger, who was the Player of the Season last year as the Foxes won an unlikely Premier League title, was at the BT Sport Industry Awards at Battersea Evolution in London.
Shakespeare was Claudio Ranieri's assistant last season before taking over the top job at the King Power Stadium in February.
The 53-year-old is still interim boss of the Foxes, but has taken the club to safety, winning five Premier League matches in a row after taking over.
When asked if Shakespeare should be given the job on a full-time basis Mahrez, who was at the bash with his wife Rita Johal, was clearly delighted with the job his boss had done.
