Boss Arsene Wenger is keen to tie the England international down on a long-term deal with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2018.

But Wenger believes the 23-year-old will go from strength to strength and is prepared to offer him a six figure sum to ensure he commits his future to the club

Chamberlain has been linked with rival moves to Liverpool and Manchester United.

It is also believed he has grown discontent with life at Arsenal following their poor Premier League and Champions League campaign.
