Huddersfield 1 Fulham 4: Terriers have to settle for play-offs after being hammered at home
Slavisa Jokanovic's team gain massive three points over Leeds for final play-off spot
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN'S slim chances of getting automatic promotion to the Premier League were smashed by Fulham.
David Wagner's side took an early lead at the John Smith's Stadium - Chris Lowe scoring from the spot - but then saw the visitors score FOUR first-half goals to end the contest.
Fulham inflicted Town's heaviest league defeat at Craven Cottage - a 5-0 drubbing in October - and made it nine goals in two matches against the West Yorkshire side.
The win means Slavisa Jokanovic's team stay in sixth place but have moved two points clear of Leeds, who could only draw away at Burton Albion.
Scott Malone scored the equaliser, before Tom Cairney scored a penalty for Fulham.
Stefan Johansen then fired in twice in 10 minutes to seal a brilliant away victory.
Huddersfield Town moved below Sheffield Wednesday into fifth after the Owls beat Derby 2-1.
