MLS side Los Angeles FC set to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic £5m-a-season and could be loaned back to Man United

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC will be offered a huge contract to make him the face of new MLS side Los Angeles FC.

The club are set to make their debut campaign in MLS when their next season kicks off in March 2018.

And the new American franchise are preparing to offer the Manchester United ace a stunning £5million-a-year deal.

As the season gets underway the following March, they would be willing to loan the Swede back to Old Trafford for the first half of the campaign.

The Manchester United ace is keeping his options open with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho wants to keep the Swede at Old Trafford with reports claiming that a new two-year contract is already on the table.

But the 35-year-old knows his signature is in high demand and Los Angeles will join the likes of LA Galaxy who are in the race to capture his signing.

Ibrahimovic has hit back at doubts he is too old for the Premier League by bagging 17 goals this campaign.

And it appears the Swede is eyeing a final swansong is the US when he said in December: "It’s a huge option for me.

"For the football and everything else. I can see myself conquering the US as I have with Europe."
