Juventus’ Dani Alves was so intent on greeting his ex-Barcelona coaches he missed Champions League kick-off
The flying full-back joined the Italian outfit in June 2016 on a free transfer, after eight years with the Catalan club
DANI ALVES was always a popular player during his time at Barcelona - but because of it he missed kick-off tonight.
The 33-year-old left the Catalan club after an eight-year stint in June 2016 to sign a two-year deal with Juventus.
However it was always a case of a new challenge as oppose to a falling out.
Ahead of Juventus' second leg tonight against his old club, Dani Alves took time out to say hello to members of the Barca coaching staff he knew from his time there.
However, his current boss, Massimiliano Allegri, might be less-than impressed as Dani Alves was still off the pitch when referee Bjorn Kuipers blew the whistle to start the game.
It's hoped the Brazilian defender wasn't resting on his laurels in the Nou Camp.
His Juventus side are 3-0 up from the first leg thanks to a Paulo Dybala brace and a strike from centre-half Giorgio Chiellini.
