Dortmund then announced that Bartra had been taken to nearby medical facilities as they wished him a "good and quick recovery" via their Twitter account.

They have now updated the situation, revealing he has broken a bone in his wrist and has bits of debris from the window stuck in his hand.

An update on the ex-Barcelona star from hospital was then communicated by the Ser network.

They claimed to have spoken with Miguel, the father of Bartra's Dortmund team-mate Mikel Merino.

He is reported as saying: "They are minor injuries to Bartra, all calm, a little the shock of the impacts against the bus.

"The artifacts have blown the crystals and the worst part has been Batra, two artifacts explode behind. It has damaged the arm. My son was on the bus, he is not freaking out."

BT Sport later claimed on their match commentary of Juventus' clash with Barcelona that it was a "miracle" that nobody else had suffered any major injuries.

The match in Dortmund was postponed in the wake of the terrifying events, which are now being investigated over fears it was a terror attack.

Police said the devices were detonated outside the bus but appealed for internet users to refrain from "rumours and speculation."

The bombs went off as the bus was travelling along Wittbräucker Strasse having left the team hotel minutes earlier.

A police spokesman said: "Various windows were broken due to the force of the explosions."

Bild newspaper reported that the explosives were planted out of sight in a roadside hedge.
