CRYSTAL PALACE have made the first move to land Glen Johnson on a free this summer.
The 32-year-old has not played enough games at Stoke this season to trigger an option to keep him for one more season.
And Sam Allardyce is prepared to move for him to add competition for Joel Ward at right-back.
