Phil Neville fears David De Gea’s absence at Sunderland was down to Real Madrid link
Says Nev: 'All mustn’t be well with De Gea. When Madrid likes a player, they tend to come and get him. So it’d be a worry, if I were a United fan'
PHIL NEVILLE is worried that David De Gea is on his way to Real Madrid.
De Gea missed Manchester United's 3-0 victory at relegation-threatened Sunderland.
The Spanish keeper looked to have taken the decision well, celebrating each of United's goal on Twitter.

And United boss Jose Mourinho did confirm that De Gea's absence was down to "a little problem".
But former United utility man Neville still voiced his conspiracy theory.
He said: “I’m still amazed at David De Gea – it looks like he’s been dropped to me.
“If he was injured, it’d be a simple thing in the press conference, saying: ‘De Gea’s carrying an injury, we’ve saving him for Thursday’.

“I’m amazed, it’s a big opportunity for Romero, all mustn’t be well with De Gea.
“You know when Madrid likes a player, they tend to come and get him. So it’d be a worry, if I were a United fan.”
Even though De Gea could be fit for the crunch Europa League tie with RSC Anderlecht, Mourinho said:
"Normally Sergio plays in the Europa League, and that is next Thursday, so not bad for him at all to have a match before that.
“I believe David will be ready for next week [against Chelsea].”
